Our story began with a search for healing.
At the heart of our skincare journey is a story of discovery, resilience, and purpose, shaped by personal struggle, faith, and a deep desire to care for both skin and soul. Kathleen’s journey began years ago in Haiti, where she first felt drawn to the origins of natural healing and a deeper sense of calling. What she witnessed there awakened something profound: a sense of provision, stewardship, and the sacred connection between purpose and how we care for one another.
That spark stayed with her. During the COVID era, faced with her own skin challenges and limited conventional solutions, Kathleen began formulating. What started as curiosity grew into conviction. She learned the difference between simply following recipes and practicing true skincare alchemy, creating products with intention, integrity, and healing at their core. In that season, she discovered her own purpose and promise: to craft honest, effective skincare made from real, responsibly sourced ingredients that restore the skin and nourish the soul.
From that promise, Tehora Organic Skincare was born, home of Chazah Creations, rooted in faith, transparency, and care.
The journey was not without its challenges. Past mission-driven ventures left their mark, offering hard but meaningful lessons in perseverance, surrender, and trust. Yet from disappointment came clarity. What once felt like loss became preparation for something more grounded, more lasting, and more deeply aligned with their calling.
The Farm
Throughout it all, Kathleen’s greatest support has been her husband, Doug. In 2023, he quite literally joined the journey as they stepped into a shared dream, searching for land where their vision of healing, restoration, and stewardship could take root. That dream found a home on 17 acres in Madison County, New York.
Lavender Fields Farm is where our skincare story meets the rhythm of the land. From here, Tehora Organic Skincare ships products across the United States, carrying our commitment far beyond the farm. We cultivate organic botanicals, lavender, and produce that nourish our skincare formulas, our table, and yours. We raise hens for organic eggs, tend organic gardens, and prepare small-batch, seasonal goods we lovingly can and preserve. Everything we do is rooted in stewardship of the soil, of relationships, and of overall well-being.
Our farm is also a gathering place, a market of makers and meaningful goods. Through the Organic Greenhouse Market, we share not only our handmade organic skincare and non-toxic home essentials, but also thoughtfully chosen pottery, artisan jewelry, distinctive clothing, organic gluten-free baked goods, local farm-raised meats, and carefully curated seasonal offerings. Each item is selected with care, craft, and conscience.
Inspired by the heart of Lavender Fields Farm, we restored a 1969 Airstream into a mobile boutique. Nestled on the farm, the Airstream invites visitors to slow down, explore our skincare, and discover handmade jewelry, distinctive clothing, and thoughtfully chosen accessories. It is an experience rooted in presence, beauty, and simplicity.
Through this journey, there has been healing of skin, of hearts, and of home. What began as a personal search for wellness became a family calling. Our work has shaped not only our products, but our marriage, our understanding of stewardship, and our vision of what it means to live well and live gently.
